While people insist on driving most places, there are plenty of options to take public transportation.

Spanish, Mediterranean, and modern architectural homes are common. There are even a few cute California Bungalows.

The housing stock of older homes are well-maintained and many have been renovated and upgraded over years. Homes on the many side streets of West Hollywood have small front yards. Tree-lined streets of palm and sycamore trees give the neighborhood a charming vibe.

Pricier homes with larger yards often sport a pool to cool off on hot days. Hedges and other landscaping provide some semblance of privacy.

Given the housing and population density of the city, West Hollywood condos are plentiful here, some in high rise buildings. If you plan to view homes for sale in West Hollywood, you may be able to walk to each that interests you.

Living in West Hollywood means you’re never far from the fun. The area is known for its good mix of dining establishments and nightclubs. There are many restaurants on Santa Monica and Sunset Boulevards (the iconic Sunset Strip) which make up the commercial core of the city. The Strip is lined with hotels and famous music venues like the Rainbow Bar and Grill, Viper Room, and Whisky a Go Go. The Troubadour is on Santa Monica. Nearby Beverly Grove and Beverly Center are known for high-end shopping. The vibe here is casual, even at the more expensive restaurants.

Halloween revelers flock to West Hollywood’s Carnival, claimed as the biggest Halloween party in the world. Some sources peg attendance at 500,000! The route for the L.A. marathon crosses the district each spring. Carnaval and the marathon are the two big annual events that jam the area; but both are highly celebrated despite the congestion.

Parks & Recreation

Running and walking through the neighborhood is easy due to the flat terrain. For people who like hills and hiking, nearby Runyon Canyon is a popular recreation area that rewards climbers with panoramic views of the L.A. Basin.
